This is the first of many future blog posts. What I have learned over the years in design and psychiatry is that our surroundings have a major impact on our mood, and that a small change in your room can make a big impact on how you feel. This is why I like Redesign. It is using what you already have, not going out and spending a lot of money to buy a roomful of stuff (potentially causing other issues). The end result is a brand new-looking room that is energizing, inspirational and starts your day off with a new mind set.

Currently, I’m working on a few house projects myself to enhance my days. One is a set of metal tables that I ordered online and they came much darker brown than the hammered gold that was shown in the catalog. I hope to make them a much lighter, brighter version of themselves. Another is a set of wooden chairs that I want to change from white to black to match a set that I already own with a chalk-type paint. So stay tuned as I will show my before & after pictures, including what mood they create!
